The Abbot’s Fireside Sunday Set Menu

3 courses for £25 or 2 courses for £20

To Start:

Homemade soup of the day with chunky fresh bread (vegetarian option available),

Baked goats’ cheese filo parcel, rocket salad garnish (v),

Warm Crab Tart with salad garnish,

Chicken Waldorf salad,

Crispy whitebait served with fresh bread, salad garnish and tartare sauce.


Main Dishes:

Traditional Sunday Roasts,

all served with seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and honey roasted parsnips.

Choice of either Topside of beef (with Yorkshire pudding), Leg of Lamb, Pork leg,

Roasted Chicken Breast (with sage & onion stuffing) or Fruit and Nut roast Loaf (v).


Pan fried fillets of trout served with wilted spinach, cocotte potatoes and almond butter,

Crisp fried spinach arancini served with roasted vegetables and rocket salad and tomato coulis (v),

Beetroot tart tatin served with a salad of rocket, feta, olives and sundried tomatoes (v).


To follow:

Chef’s sticky toffee pudding with hot toffee sauce & banana ice cream,

Banoffee pie with Chantilly cream,

Chocolate Brownie with hot chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream,

Tart au citron served with warm berry compote,

English cheese board from Canterbury cheesemakers (£2 supplement).
